Protecting military secrets and intelligence gathering is the right and obligation of any government. Lives are at stake. But we all know that our government abuses that right to hide information from the American public because it might be embarrassing to them. Much of what they hide from us is information we have a right and a need to know. I suspect that TPTB purposely hide information from us that might affect the way we vote. That is not good. Every thing is not always as black and white as we would like them to be.
Cheryl Pass is an artist and a conservative blogger. Her essays alway show the same passion as do her paintings. Yesterday, in her Tea Party Chronicles, she provides a different a thought provoking perspective to the Wikileaks business. Please take time to read this essay. You may not agree with all of what Cheryl has to say but she definitely adds to the debate. If you do decide to visit Cheryl’s site, I hope you go with an open mind.
Here’s a teaser:
So is Assange providing sunlight? Is he a hero or a villain? Interpol is after him. His life won’t end well, I suspect. He messed with some really dangerous, powerful, global power brokers. By design, I might add. If you try to go to Wikileaks.org it is blocked. No access.
Thanks for a thought provoking link. In the past, we have always had a certain faith that our government was working in our best interest. We gave a wink and a nod to certain actions, believing in the end, it would be to our advantage. Rose colored glass spared us from havinig to deal with certain unplesantries. We are losing faith.. and that it the most dangerous time for a nation. Perhaps that is the most dangerous thing this fine fellow has accomplished.
You’re right Bunker. When we remove those rose colored glasses, we can see, as Cheryl does, that all is not what it seems in the land of Oz. Good comment, thanks .
