Cheryl Pass of My Tea Party Chronicle has announced that she will be taking a break from blogging, or at least slowing down, to attend to her primary passion, her art. I will very much miss her writings but I do understand and respect her decision. In her announcement, she left a caution to all those liberals that see Obama; et.al., as saints. It is difficult to deny the similarities between Obama’s political philosophy and that of the German National Socialist Workers Party. He hasn’t reached their extreme yet but he certainly seems to be on a similar path. (I’m talking about socialism not Nazism.)

The untold story is that we helped create this monster by the agreed settlement imposed upon Germany after WW II. There are better sites for background info.. but a quick one:
International agreement, signed in 1919 at the Palace of Versailles, that concluded World War I. It was negotiated primarily by the U.S., Britain, and France, without participation by the war’s losers. Germany was forced to accept blame for Allied losses and to pay major reparations. Its European territory was reduced by about 10%, its overseas possessions were confiscated, and its military establishment was reduced. Although some of the treaty’s terms were eased in the 1920s, the bitterness it created helped to foster an environment that led to the growth of fascism in Italy and the rise of the Nazi Party in Germany. The treaty also established the League of Nations, the International Labour Organization, and the Permanent Court of International Justice (later the International Court of Justice).
