A Free America vs. A Socialist/Marxist America

The American people must decide in the next elections if they want a free America or they want a socialist/Marxist America. To this old curmudgeon sitting on the outside looking in, those are the real options that are being placed before the American voters this election cycle.

The socialist/Marxist may or may not be a majority in the Democrat Party; but they do dominate policy making and have for many years now. The Republican Party has been and still is dominated by those who believe in a big central government and wittingly or unwittingly, they have aided and abetted the socialist/Marxists in creating the monstrosity we have in Washington today.

As things stand today, it is Obama and the Democrats who are framing the debate.  It is Obama and the Democrats that are offering the people who are truly hurting in America socialist/Marxist ideas to alleviate their suffering: make the rich pay their fair share and government spending to create jobs and, other class warfare concepts. People who are hurting are vulnerable to these sales pitches. The socialist/Marxist are way too smart to ever refer to their policies as being socialist/Marxist but we know that is exactly what they are.

Obama and the Democrats are hell-bent on polarizing America into the haves and the have-nots. That is what all the class warfare rhetoric is all about. Between now and the elections, we are going to see more and more street protest all across America. They will make use of all their useful idiots and their co-opted media to split America in two. It saddens me to say this; but, I think their chances for success are better than good.

Obama and the Democrats have thrown down the gauntlet. Will we pick it up? Will we rise to the challenge? Folks it more than time to take the gloves off. We need to call out Obama and the Democrats for what they are: Socialist and Marxist. We need to use those words over and over again. We need the Americans on Main Street to see what is at stake is A FREE AMERICA or a SOCIALIST/MARXIST AMERICA. That is the real choice we Americans will make in November of 2012. We will vote to begin the process of dismantling the socialist/Marxist state and start down the road of rebuild A Free America or, we will vote to become slaves of the all-powerful socialist/Marxist state.

I abhor the idea of polarizing America, but I am afraid that Obama and the Democrats are leaving us no choice. We must do whatever we can to polarize Main Street America in favor of freedom and against socialism and Marxism.

The political process in America has always been ugly and it is about to ge a whole lot uglier. We the people have our voice on election days but, we have far less voice in the selection of our candidates. The party establishment and the big money donors generally have more to say about who our candidates will be than we do. Although the Tea Parties have had some success recently on the Congressional and Senatorial level, the point is we do not always have the candidates we would prefer. Much of the time we can only choose between the lesser of two evils. I want to make the point that supporting the lesser of two evils can be just as important as supporting a prefered candidate. This is especially true today in the face of the crisis in which we find ourselves. An excellent example will be taking place in Massachusetts for the Senate seat currently held by Scott Brown, a one time Tea Party favorite.

According to this article at Daily Caller, the Tea Partie of Massachusetts are not happy with the way their boy, Scott Brown, behaved after being elected to fill the seat vacated by the late Ted Kennedy. The article tells us that the Tea Partiers are resigned to holding their noses and vote for Brown over Elizabeth Warren, but they do not intend to give him the same kind of support they did to  get him elected originally. The articles links a poll that shows Brown and Warren are in a dead heat. Here is a snip that really bothers me:

“Scott Brown has disappointed us a few times,” Carlos Hernandez, state  coordinator for the Tea Party Patriots, told TheDC. “So are we going to go out  there and hold signs for him everyday? I don’t think so.”

Folks, this attitude is so wrong! Elizabeth Warren is a Marxist to the bone. The tea Partiers of Massachusetts must pull out all stops to defeat this Marxist. If she wins, she will be ten times worse than Ted Kennedy ever was. So, my friends, if you have any contacts in the Massachusetts Tea Parties, please do what you can to make them see how important this race is.

Well, that’s what I’m thinking. What are your thoughts?

  1. I am torn here. Always settling has gotten us to where we are now. If Conservatives had stood up and stood for someone besides John McCain would we have Obama? There is an old saying that “if you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything!” The Bible tells us that God hates the taste of the lukewarm so when do you stand and when do you cede ground. If you are always ceding ground to the enemy, sooner or later you have no ground to stand on. Each of us has a choice to make, I personally find that it is hard to always have to pick the lessor of two evils. Evil is evil and choosing the lessor of the two gets me nothing but more evil. I personally will vote for anyone but Obama in 2012, but in the other races, I think people will just have to make their own decisions!

    1. I agree with you in the primaries. That’s really the only time we have any choice. In Massachusetts, apparently the Tea Parties couldn’t find someone to challenge Brown in a primary. But, when it comes to Brown vs. Warren, the choice ought to be clear.

      1. Lesser of the two evils? Come on…is that the best we got? Is that what it has come down to? We’re the greatest nation on the planet, we deserve better than this.

My heart breaks. No compromise. Never. Screw Scott Brown. He was and is a liar, and the TEA Party got burned. So let him burn in the polls, then. Wash your hands of him, shake the dust off your feet, and cut your losses. You got played. Simple as that.

  2. “The Republican Party has been and still is dominated by those who believe in a big central government and wittingly or unwittingly, they have aided and abetted the socialist/Marxists in creating the monstrosity we have in Washington today.”

Boom. And there it is. Culpability demands we hold these GOP morons as accountable as the Socialists of the Democrat Party.

loopyloo305 nailed it when they said:
“Always settling has gotten us to where we are now.”

Exactly! Exactly. It’s time for a true Conservative third party that will threaten and take away from the GOP with their stranglehold on American Conservatives. There are more of us out here than the GOP would be willing to admit, but they know it.

We don’t want Romney, Perry, Christie, Huntsman (freakshow), or any of them. (Well, I do like Herman Cain, but I’m biding my time with him….) The GOP needs an enema. Remember: every stereotype is rooted in truth. The libs say the GOP is full of big-money businessmen and there is some truth there. (I adore capitalism, to be sure. But the GOP has been tampering with it for ill-gotten gains. Tsk, tsk.)

Third party. Period. If not in 2012, then in 2016 or 2020. True Conservatism without fealty to political ideals, or political elbowing. Enough is enough. As a true Conservative, I view DC and the beltway as being enemy territory. On both sides.

    1. The progressives hijacked the Democrat party maybe 40 years ago. We conservatives were not paying attention. Instead of trying to form a third party, my preference is to hijack the Republican Party. We got a good start in 2010 and in a couple of more election cycles we can finish the job. Meanwhile we’ve got to do the best we can. It’s a shame we didn’t wake-up 10 or 20 years ago. Now we are paying a terrible price. I doubt we are going to get a presidential candidate that we can call a true conservative this time around. That saddens me. But we must do all we can to fill the House and Senate with the most conservative candidates we can find.

  3. For those looking for a unifying theory of how Marxism came to be so rooted in America, I turn your attention to the least suspected: The Big Banks of the Federal Reserve Banking Cartel.

Who do they donate to? Liberals and RINOs

They set up great sums in foundations that lopsidedly support what? Everything that destabilizes traditional America: gayness, feminism, communist workforce training, climate change, etc. They support colleges teaching Marxism, ok?

What is their historical legacy in this country? . Setting up the UN, the IMF, the World Bank and moving us to a one-world system.

What have they been up to in the last 20 years? Backing trade agreements conducive to off-shoring, thus liquidating America’s manufacturing base.

I could go on, but I think it is important to remember that the communist system doesn’t result in poverty for everyone, but extreme opulence for those on the very top of the pyramid. I would contend that there are persons in our country who have enriched themselves using the Frederic C Howe game plan of “letting society work for you” and” a government subsidy is worth more than a gold mine.” They have positioned themselves at the top of the pyramid, have pretty much implemented most of Marx’s planks in America. They have used the Fed to destroy the middle class’ wealth. Where we’re headed, they don’t need a middle class anymore.

More disturbing is that they are also completely godless, think we evolved from animals so that they can treat us like animals. When the herd gets to big, well, you know…

  4. @ Chakam: t’s time for a true Conservative third party that will threaten and take away from the GOP with their stranglehold on American Conservatives.

That is a guaranteed victory plan for Obama and the democrats in 2012.

We on the right must learn patient incrementalism. The nation is more conservative than it was when Reagan was elected. People are not stupid, but they must first be confronted with the fruits of progressive failure.

It is an ideological battle, and we are no longer losing, and that is saying a lot since this entire debate has been framed by the progressive long march of the past 100 years.

Do not let the perfect be the enemy of the good. Scott Brown is infinitely better than the marxist professor challenging him. He serves a liberal state. Were he to vote and talk like Jim DeMint (an excellent conservative senator imho), he would lose badly.

Would you rather have a senator who votes with us 75% of the time, or 0%?

The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is a friend and an ally — not a 20 percent traitor.”
    — Ronald Reagan

75% is about the best you can expect from a Northeast republican, and it beats the hell out of nothing, especially if the next president is a Republican and he needs a senate majority to approve strict constructionist judges, especially to the Supreme Court.

    1. A man makes peace with an alligator only in the hopes it will eat him last.

Sorry, Silver, but you and I respectfully do not see eye-to-eye on this issue. The enemy of my enemy is not my default friend.

Again, I respectfully disagree with you. In truth, I would easily endure four more years of Obama than to have a fraudulent Conservative in office. To me, that is my patience at work.

      1. I understand your point, Chakam, but I am afraid America can not withstand another four years of Barack Obama living in the White House. I fear his second term with much more horror than I ever did his first term. When he was running in 2008, I made the statement that his second term, if obtained, would be much, much worse than his first. During his first, he has been aware that he needs to keep his rhetoric and actions toned down. Otherwise, his chances at a second term would have been null and void. If he wins that second term, I believe the gloves will come off and he will attempt to move America as far to the left as he possibly can. I say again, I am not sure we can withstand another four years of his presidency.

      2. LD,

As long as there are free men and women, sons and daughters of liberty, breathing and walking on this American soil, there is nothing to fear.

Our strength is our resolve. We are not gasping quitters or those who easily toss the towel in.

  5. The Republicans are afraid that if they tell people what the Democrats really are, the Democrats won’t like them anymore and will stop inviting them to their parties.

And sadly, people will always vote for a candidate who promises them government services for “nothing.”

I see socialism as inevitable. Sadly. And freedom will suffer.

  6. One thing I have found from my study of Marx is that our society has been very Marxist for about 100 years. What BO represents is an even more extreme blend of communism and fascism.

  7. You would think that by now all of those politicians in Washington would realize what’s going on. They aren’t taking action to stop this lunatic. I’m afraid that they are all going to be in for a big surprise when the poop finally hits the fan.

  8. Like Loopy and Chalkam, I am tired of settling for the lesser of two evils. But, I agree with you, Fire, that we are much better off choosing the lesser sometimes. I have a great distaste for both major parties. My theory is Big government Republicans and All Democrats are both taking us down the road to socialism, but Republicans are driving a slower train. My faith in the GOP was somewhat restored by the Tea Party’s influence. The next election is indeed a watershed moment. In the interum, conservatives need to make inroads with the future–which is young people, your children. your grandchildren, the kids at your church. Teach self responsibility. Teach self respect. Teach the value of doing thiings on your own. The only way to get rid of the entitlement mentality is to nip it in the bud before it has time to take root.

  9. Great post, Jim. We really need to keep up the pressure and continue showing the rest of America what Obama and company are really up to. The stakes are too high for us to do anything else.

    1. Somehow we we need to be sure that the average American knows the truth of what the coming elections are really about. It is critical that they understand they will be deciding the kind of life their children and grandchildren will have; free to pursue their dreams or slaves to the dictates of a central government.

  10. We are at a critical point in our nation’s history and while I have maintained that I would not vote for a candidate I did not fully believe in the stakes just might be too high. Scott Brown is the perfect example, if the Tea Party sits out this election they will be left with Warren instead of Brown and she will be much more liberal-Marxist than he, so how does this help the Tea Party? It doesn’t and the same thing is true on a national level as well. I am not going to get the perfect candidate but I cannot let Obama get reelected and so I will have to vote for whomever comes out of the primary because we are seeing the president’s tactics coming straight out of the communist playbook and he must be stopped or he will finally achieve that fundamental change he so longs for.

    1. You and I are in complete agreement, Steve. The question is how do we convince Americans that this is what is at stake without our looking like tin hat wackos. Obama is counting on us not being able to convince the public that he is in fact a Marxist/fascist.
