The “Chicago Way” Must Be Stopped!

To be sure, politics in America and especially in Washington has never been a bastion of virtue. But America has never seen anything as bad as the Chicago style politics of the Obama administration. Obama & Company are the most corrupt and diabolically evil people ever to control the Executive branch of our government. They have an agenda to “fundamentally change” America and they will do so no matter what the people, the Congress, the Constitution or, the courts say to the contrary.

Many conservatives scratch their heads saying with the economy in the shape it is in there is no way America would reelect Barack Obama. Yet we know it is possible. Team Obama are experts at deflecting blame. And, they will do everything in their power to make this election about anything other than Obama’s record. But, more importantly they will be focused on the Electoral College votes. Please take a look at this Real Clear Politics Election Map. You will see that by their analysis Obama has a lock on 253 electoral College votes and Romney has a lock on only 170. That leaves 115 as toss ups. Obama only needs to win 17 of those toss-up votes. A win in Ohio would do it or a win in New Hampshire and Virgina would do it. You can bet that Team Obama will spend a lot of  their money on what they think are the most vulnerable states.

More than a few conservative bloggers understand that Obama very well could win reelection. Their fall back position is to make sure the Republicans keep control of the House and take control of the Senate. This would make it almost impossible for Obama to do much harm in a second term. If you agree with this fall back plan, I encourage you to read this article, Obama’s Second Term Transformation Plans, at American Thinker. The author, Steve McCann, sees an angle that I should have seen but didn’t.

The  overwhelming majority of Americans do not understand that Obama’s first term was  dedicated to putting in place executive power to enable him and the  administration to fulfill the campaign promise of “transforming America” in his  second term regardless of which political party controls Congress.    That is why his re-election team is virtually ignoring the plight of incumbent  or prospective Democratic Party office holders.

The  most significant accomplishment of Obama’s first term is to make Congress  irrelevant.  Under the myopic and blindly loyal leadership of Harry Reid  and Nancy Pelosi, the Democrats have succeeded in creating an imperial and, in a  second term, a potential dictatorial presidency

The  birth of multi-thousand page laws was not an aberration.  This tactic was  adopted so the bureaucracy controlled by Obama appointees would have sole  discretion in interpreting vaguely written laws and enforcing thousands of pages  of regulations they and not Congress would subsequently  write.

For  example, in the 2,700 pages of ObamaCare there are more than 2,500 references to  the Secretary of Health and Human Services.  There are more than 700 instances when he or she is instructed that they “shall” do  something and more than 200 times when they “may” take at their sole discretion  some form of regulatory action.  On 139 occasions, the law mentions that  the “Secretary determines.”  In essence one person, appointed by and  reporting to the president, will be in charge of the health care of 310 million  Americans once ObamaCare is fully operational in 2014.

The  same is true in the 2,319 pages of the Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Act which  confers nearly unlimited power on various agencies to control by fiat the  nation’s financial, banking and investment sectors.  The bill also creates new  agencies, such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, not subject to any  oversight by Congress.   This overall process was repeated numerous  times with other legislation all with the intent of granting unfettered power to  the executive branch controlled Barack Obama and his radical  associates.

There’s more. Much more. Please read this article. It should scare the hell out of you.  Clearly winning control of the House and the Senate is not enough to stop Obama’s planned transformation of America. Remember that there are 115 electoral votes up for grabs and Obama only needs 17 of them. If you live in one of these toss-up states, you will have to do everything possible to turn out the anti-Obama vote. If you have family or friends that live in one of these states, contact them and find out what you can do to help turn out our voters on election day. I can’t imagine what our country will look like after four more years of a dictatorial Obama.

BTW, guess who thinks they will be ready for a presidential run in 2016? No, I am not talking about Hillary. According to this Chicago Sun Times article from last month, Rahm “Never let a crisis go to waste” Emanuel is making plans. How scary is that?

Well, that’s what I’m thinking.  What are your thoughts?

  1. I did read it, and it indeed does the hell out of me. What maybe equally fear making is what if it looks like or indeed it happens that he is not re-elected. Those three months? Does anyione think that he will go quietly into the night with his henchmen? I dont.

  2. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. This passage from our Declaration of Independence is extremely relevant today:

“He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.”

  3. I trust Obama not even a little. I have long said we need to make sure we retain control of the House and regain control of the Senate, but that may not be enough. The actions he has taken may allow him to bypass Congress. He has already said he would rather act alone, so we know he has no problem with doing that.

  4. I think it is highly likely that Obama will win reelection and if he does it is all over. Even if the Republicans hold onto the Congress we have already seen that Obama is willing to ignore them and work around the COngress. If he is reelected he will only do this more and more, the Congress will have no say and for all intents and purposes Obama will be a dictator.

  5. I had read the article, and it does, indeed, scare the daylights out of me. It bewilders me how more conservatives, libertarians, and even moderates could not take the lesson offered by that abomination of a health care reform bill.

  6. What is even more telling is the author of this piece, Steve McCann, is a survivor of World War II and a displaced war orphan that came to the United States alone. His story is truly remarkable and he wrote about it a few years ago in the American Thinker in an essay entitled: “Saved By Christmas” All of you should pull up the archives at the site and read it. What he warns us of comes from the heart and his personal experience–we all need to listen.

    1. Morgan, thank you so much for coming by and sharing the story of Steve McCann. He wrote a terrific article that people need to pay attention to and react accordingly. I will certainly try to find his previous article at American Thinker.

  7. If we’re that bad off, what chance do we have? Even if we get “lucky” and Mittens wins, what about the next election, and the next? You can’t be a consistent winner with your opponent having 200+ electoral votes “locked up.”

  8. The minions do not realize that America is a republic in name only as we are evolving into the worst sort of dictatorship. The Executive Order was never intended to be used as most presidents have used (or rather abused) the power. And Obama is the absolute worst of all. What do you expect from a congress that operates without a budget and a senate leader who claims, “we don’t need a budget.”

  9. Oh come off it with the conspiracy theories. Liberals thought that George Bush was going to refuse to leave office ever. Didn’t happen. Won’t with Obama. Absolutely ridiculous!
