Once again the internet service in this area went down from ten o’clock last night until nearly noon today. I decided not to do a post today so that I could catch up on the news and the speeches at the RNC that I missed. But, this post I read at Maggie’s Notebook on Tuesday has been nagging at me. This disgusting bit of evil that is coming out of ObamaCare needs to see the light of day regardless of what other news is grabbing the spotlight.
We learn from Maggie’s post that in Section 2713 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act included a non-specific requirement that health care plans must provide “additional preventive services” to women.
In developing the regulation to define these “additional preventive services,” HHS commissioned a federally funded committee at the Institute of Medicine (IOM) to recommend what they should to be.
In July 2011, this committee issued a report that said: “The committee recommends for consideration as a preventive service for women: the full range of Food and Drug Administration-approved contraceptive methods, sterilization procedures, and patient education and counseling for women with reproductive capacity.” (Bold added)
And, of course, the HHS decided to adopt all of those recommendations. So, now, my friends, just like contraceptives, fifteen year old girls can opt to be sterilized at no cost and without their parents permission. Please read Maggie’s article. This is very disturbing. What kind of society would even think of allowing this to occur to young girls? But, wait a minute. This was n0t society’s decision. This was the Obama’s Nanny State’s doing. They forced ObamaCare on us and now they are free to do what they want because they know better than parents what is best for America’s children.
As if we needed more reason to vote Obama out of office, now we have this. We must win this election, my friends, and the next Congress must repeal ObamaCare. Then President Romney needs to find out the name of every bureaucrat who supported this crime against humanity and fire them.
Well, that’s what I’m thinking. What are your thoughts?
