Today’s Guest Saturday post is a reblog and comment by Dan of the DanMillerInPanama blog. The post includes a video which is 27 minutes in length. I hope you will wattch as much of it as you can because it demonstrate how little freedom Americans really have today. Dan reposted this originally on July 11, 2913.
Government Code for you – Do you comply?
Reblogged from ‘Still-Ticking’ – It has many meanings – Feed your soul|#ST:
Boone, North Carolina: For decades, Eustace Conway has lived an independent, sustainable life, building shelter for himself on his land, growing his own food, setting up outhouse facilities, composting, and allowing others to learn these methods first-hand so that we may once again have a populous versed in the healthy manner of primitive survival skills.
After a preliminary visit from the local Planning & Inspections department, several independent local government agencies together performed a raid on Mr.
The situation illustrates the fact that a central-planning society is incompatible with individual freedom, personal choice, self-sufficiency, and individuality, concepts upon which this country was founded.
When did these travesties come to the United States? Who brought them, but of greater importance how and why? Even more important, how can we reverse course? Please watch the YouTube video. It is important. What more is there to say, beyond “Oh @&*%&!@?” There must be something better than that, and we had better figure out what it is and say it; before it is too late.

About Dan
I was graduated from Yale University in 1963 with a B.A. in economics and from the University of Virginia School of law, where I was the notes editor of the Virginia Law Review, in 1966. Following four years of active duty with the Army JAG Corps, with two tours in Korea, I entered private practice in Washington, D.C. specializing in communications law. I retired in 1996 to sail with my wife, Jeanie, on our sailboat Namaste to and in the Caribbean. In 2002, we settled in the Republic of Panama and live in a very rural area up in the mountains.
Thanks, Jim.

This may seem like an extreme, since the man is going full bore into surviving in such a primitive manner. The thing is, if you try to just one of the methods of getting unhooked from the central planners, look out! You will become a target. We are familiar with this story since he lives in our area of the country. Mr. Conway is a sincere person who truly is following his dream and trying to share survival skills with others. He isn’t doing this to stick his thumb up anyone’s nose…he really wants to live this way and has for years! I don’t think he wanted to be the poster child for the gross intrusions of government, but that is how it has turned out. So much for the individual and property ownership. We can’t allow that…now can we!!!???
