An interesting article about technological trends at the D.C. Clothesline starts out with this quote from the Book of Revelations:
And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name.…
There are, of course, other beasts mankind must fear than the one referenced in the Book of Revelations. The article’s author, Mac Slavo, is worried about the beast we call government. And, the mark of this beast is not 666; but a fifteen digit binary code of a rice grain size microchip embedded in each person’s hand or forehead.
Mr. Slavo is clear that the populus will have to be conditioned to accept having a microchip embedded in their person. The conditioning will take time; but eventually life without an embedded microchip will be deemed so inconvenient that people will willing seek their microchip implant.
How is that possible, you ask? Think about it. We human adapted very rapidly to technological changes; especially younger humans. A good example is how we pay we our bills. We’ve gone from an all cash society to paying with checks, to paying with credit or debit cards to paying electronically on-line and even buying on-line. Think about communicating over long distances. We’ve gone from mail service, to telegrams. to hand crank phones, to dial phones, to digital phones to cell-phones to internet connecting.
More recently we have the NSA spying on our cell phone calls, our e-mails,and our internet use. We have cameras whatching as we move about the streets of our cities and many of them are connected to control centers using facial recognition software. Gradually we are accepting these intrusions as the new normal. Our cell phones and cars today contain GPS chips that allow a lost or stolen cellphone or car to be tracked or traced. They also allow our governments to track or trace us without our permission. And yes, we are accepting this also.
Those who promote human embedded micro chips will gradually convince people to accept by promoting all sorts of real benefits. They may, for example, promote having children embedded so if lost or kidnapped, they can be found or recovered. The first time a lost or kidnapped child is recovered by means of their implant the news media make such a big deal out of it that more and more parents will want their children implanted with a microchip. What about people with certain health issues? In an emergency, first responders will be able to scan the persons chip and access their complete medical history and in that way save a person’s life. Perhaps you go to a government office to take care of some business. The person in front of you is quickly passed through the official they need to deal with, but you have to spend an hour filling out forms and answering questions. You see the person who was in front you leave before you have finished answering all the questions. You ask why that person was attended so quickly and you are informed the he had an implant which when scan allowed him to conduct his business quickly. Similarly you will find that those with implants get medical service with far less hassle than you do. As Mr. Slavo explains there will come a time when the inconveniences of daily life without a microchip implant, will make implants a new necessity of life. At that point, each individual’s 15 digit binary code will become their universal I. D.. It alone will allow the individual their Social Security payments, their government healthcare services, their drivers license, etc., etc.
Today it is still possible for people to go off the grid. They can get rid of the GPS in their phone and car and communicate using low-tech methods like snail mail. In the future, as described by Mr. Slavo, it will be much harder for people to go off the grid. It will become very difficult to buy or sell without being part of the grid. Unless modern man can learn to live like the Yanomami tribes which reside in scattered settlements in the Amazon rain forest of southern Venezuela and northern Brazil, surviving will require having the mark of the beast.
It doesn’t take much of an imagination to see the many ways the beast (government) will use this new technology watch and control its citizens. This humble observer of the asylum we all have to live is glad that at my age I will not be around to be tempted into to accepting the mark of the beast.
Well, that’s what I’m thinking. What are your thoughts?
