On Friday past, while reviewing the the articles I had save as potential sources for this week’s posts, it occurred to me that it had been some time since I’d seen any news on Obama’s ISIS War. That seemed strange because, if there was a lull in the fighting or if ISIS were in retreat, Obama’s sycophants in the media would be telling us non-stop how well his war was going and what a great leader he was. Being a suspicious sort of guy, I assumed things were not going well and so I decided to Google the subject. (Is “Google” now a verb?) To my surprise, I found nothing you could call current news. Today, however, there are a few stories coming out of the region.
One of those stories should be receiving much more coverage. America has lost its first serviceman to the ISIS War:
Marine Lance Cpl. Sean Neal was the first service member to die in Iraq on a mission against Islamic State militants, the Washington Postreported. He was 19. ‘
The California native died in Baghdad Thursday during a “noncombat incident,” the Pentagon said. Further details were not released. The military is investigating the incident, the Marine Corps Times said.
There were several stories relating how the Iraqi forces had made in roads in recapturing a small town outside of Baghdad claiming the death of twenty ISIS fighters. Well, that’s a start. It means there there are only 35,000 more to go.
Other than those, there just wasn’t much news. So, your intrepid observer of the asylum we all have to live in decided to see what was being reported by the English language , Al Arabiya News. Here are a few of their headline stories with a little snark from yours truly:

Prez Obola is batting a thousand. With Enola having squeezed ISIS off the front page and pretty much completely out of the news cycle we can only wonder what cataclysmic crisis will do the same to Ebola. One would think the viruses from centroamerica y America del sur with the potential of infecting hundreds of thousands of school children would have done so but not surprisingly PC has once again cowed the nation. Bring it on Barry, what’s next?
An interesting point. I have wondered why the Ebola “scare” in the US is getting so much play in the MSM and now I know; it is a diversion from ISIS and Obama’s failed foreign policy.
What is sad is we know there will be a “what’s next”, don’t we?
No news from the middle east? You know the motto of the media: “If it doesn’t help the Democratic party then don’t report it.”
Why can’t the GOP get the Koch brothers to buy them some media outlets? They could probably buy the New York Times for next to nothing, right?

Ebola is the flavor of the week in the U.S. news media. For them, nothing else exists at the moment.
Its always a good idea to check out middle east and other foreign news services if you really want to know what is happening in that part of the world. U.S. media always presents a politically sanitized version of middle east news, both from the conservative and “progressive” sides of the fence.
Agreed! Foreign news services often provide a different perspective from what our MSM provides.
