It turns out that US electorate has dramatically changed getting closer to the types that loved and supported the communist Russia back in the day and even now. Do you see any mechanism in America to counter this “invasion” from liberal Europe, Latin America etc.?
Svetlana will not be responding, Mark. I doubt that she knows I have her letters posted here. But, if you Google Pravda in English, you will find they are ridiculing what America is doing to itself.
I enjoyed the article (and her others, as well) very much. Beautifully written and utterly true to life in the Soviet Union. So sad that all those people who thought they had found sanctuary from communism now see it has reared its ugly head right here in the US. Keep talking, Svetlana, people need to hear it because now they can actually compare it to what is happening before their very eyes.
