Additional Child Tax Credits for Illegal Immigrants

The insanity never quits. I know that. You know that. But, when will those who are paying for the insanity get mad enough to force our government to clean up its act? This story I found at Townhall ought to be the last straw. It won’t be.

Did you know that those storm troopers, otherwise known as the IRS, have a soft spot for illegal immigrants? The IRS likes illegal immigrants so much that they give the illegals billions of dollars of tax credits each year, to which they are not entitled. US tax laws allow illegal immigrants to claim tax credits for children who DO NOT LIVE in America.

A WTHR-TV Indianapolis investigative report exposes a fraudulent scheme wherein the IRS is sending $4.2 billion per year to illegal immigrants as an “additional child tax credit” for children who don’t even live in the U.S.

Warning: If you are in a good mood and want to stay that way, do not watch this video!

According to the article, the investigative journalist in Indiana found that there are at least two million illegal immigrants claiming child tax credits for nieces and nephews that live in Mexico or wherever. The IRS knows about the problem and do nothing to put a stop to it.

… the IRS and Congress have been ignoring the scheme for years.  The Inspector General’s office has repeatedly identified the problem in audit after audit.  The IG, Russell George says, “The magnitude of the problem has grown exponentially,” but the IRS is doing nothing to stop it.

In the video it was reported that the IRS claimed they couldn’t do anything unless Congress acted. I assume that means the IRS won’t do anything unless the Congress changes the tax code on “extra child tax credits”. That’s crap, isn’t it? These people are in our country illegally and are defrauding the federal government to boot. The only reason the IRS doesn’t do anything is that they know they would have to call in ICE and the illegals would be arrested and deported. The IRS doesn’t want illegals deported apparently. No, they know the Congress and the President have plans to make these people legal residents and possibly citizens who would be faithful Democratic Party voters. What’s a few billion dollars a year if it buys millions of future voters?

Well, that’s what I’m thinking. What are your thoughts?

    1. There will be no outrage. Even if one of the media carried the story, I bet it wouldn’t register with more than a few percent of the people. America has changed so much since I was living there. Very sad!

  1. It’s all part of being a compassionate, statist liberal. White people have to pay for years of oppressing peoples of color.

And don’t ask for help from the RINOs. They are “compassionate conservatives.”

Maybe I should take a vacation to Mexico, father a child and get the tax credit.

  2. You mean there is “vote buying” in a “democracy”? I’m shocked!

I have to admit, though, ‘democracy’, as applied through its Congressional machinery, has evolved into the most sophisticated vote-buying machine the world has ever devised.

  3. So now, it’s time to go to bed and I can’t sleep because of the information you have shared. Gee, thanks Jim. 😉

Seriously, this is totally sickening to hear. It’s bad enough that the illegal immigrants are taking advantage of our tax code, but to learn that the IRS is completely ignoring the problem is even more troubling. It makes me wonder whose side they are on.

    1. Sorry, Larry, but I did warn everyone. As for whose side the IRS is on, they are on the side of liberalism like every other agency in the federal governmment. That is my opinion for what it’s worth.

  4. This is part of the “no borders” policies…furthering the no sovereignty agenda. Our government is in deep with global socialism…so I guess this should not be a surprise…to those of us who are aware. Nonetheless…outrageous theft, once again. It just goes on and on. What kills me is the astronomical debt building up and the government blaming the American population for living too well. It’s all our fault, don’t you know. Global redistribution…it’s so much fun!

  5. Wow! That is one humdinger of an eye opening video! I had no idea such flagrant fraud is being committed and that it is known and that nothing is being done about it.

I’m of the school of thought that a reasonable pathway to citizenship for illegals in this country… where they are NOT given special preferential treatment… and that they have to PAY A STUFF FINE… is a proper solution to the illegal problem.

As for the ones committing tax fraud, though…
I think they should be caught, jailed and when they get out of jail then get permanently deported without possibility of citizenship or re-entry into the U.S. (If that is possible to prevent)

    1. It’s a tough problem, AZ. The question always is: What doesgiving them a pathway to citizenship say to others wanting to come to America? Follow the rules or break the law and get citizenship anyway? People callit an incentive to smeak into the country.

      1. Agreed. It is a very tough problem.

My belief is a proper “pathway” to citizenship is a disincentive to sneaking into the country illegally, not an incentive…
1 – Violators still have to go through the exact same process as non-violators
2 – Violators don’t get preferential treatment of any kind
3 – Violators are subject to extra scrutiny for illegal time already spent here
4 – Violators have to pay a stiff fine commensurate with their border crossing crime

Under those conditions it is easier and less complicated to become legal the right way.

The real incentive to break the law and enter illegally is this nation’s lackadaisical enforcement of its existing immigration laws… Mexican’s and others know that.

States and the federal government have already gone way out of their way to tolerate and accommodate illegals as illegals.

That is what has to be changed.

Many illegals don’t really want to become citizens. They just want to work here. If this country had a more robust legal guest worker program that does not bestow citizen rights then it would solve a big part of the problem.
